In this solution, we outline all of the activities that you need to complete the first time that you setup the Attendance Weekly Report.

1) Set Localization Keys in Admin Panel

The default is Dash is that Truancy is defined as 10 unexcused absences and Chronic Absenteeism is defined as 90% attendance. If your client uses different values, please follow these steps, as demonstrated in this Video on Loom

  1. Log into the admin panel dash.edops.com/panel/, using the username and password Adam provided to you via direct message in the  Dash Forum
  2. Click LEA in the left-hand navigation
  3. Find your client and click on it
  4. Click Localization KeyMap in the left-hand navigation
  5. For both Chronic Absenteeism and Truancy, follow these steps
    1. Click the blue New Key Map button
    2. Click the appropriate KeyMap from the name column
    3. In the new dialog, keep "All Years" under SchoolYear
    4.  Set the Value text box to the value used by the school. Not that Chronically Absent needs to be a decimal
    5. Click the blue "Submit" button
    6. After receiving confirmation, click the blue Return to LocalizationKeyMap Listing
  6. If you wish to see the results the same day, you will need to Update Your Store Procedures
    1. Click LEA in the left-hand navigation
    2. Find your client and click on it
    3. Click Run Stored Procedures
    4. WAIT 20 minutes. If you would like to monitor the status, click Back To the Dashboard and scroll down

2) Create the Graph/Questions in Metabase

Below is a listing of all possible graphs for our Attendance Reports. Those with a blue dot should be created for single-campus clients and those with an orange dot should be created for multicampus clients.

Create all blue or orange graphs in Metabase using the associated FreshDesk help files or video instructions in Loom. Our expectation is that we will provide both instructional formats for Weekly Attendance Reports and the rest of the Dash tutorial will just be help files. Note that the emphasis here is teaching you what to do and not why. We want to roll the product out to the customers and we will teach the 'why' and the customizations in the future.

A couple of notes about Loom. (1) You can change the speed of the presentation in the bottom right corner: 1x, 1.2x, 1.5x. (2) If you have questions or concerns about the video, please add those comments below the video.

3) Configure the Photographer Application

After you build the12 or 13 standard questions in Metabase, you will need to configure the Photographer App. This EdOps application "takes pictures" of your graphs in Metabase and stores them in Google Drive with the appropriate dimensions and resolution so you can add them to your presentations with high fidelity. This photographer makes you look good.  Video on Loom
