If your comments don't appear in an IS or Forecast refresh, the Excel worksheet needs to be closed and reopened and your comments are lost. I'm sorry.
Backstory
- Screen Updating
- In order to improve performance, the programmer needs to turn off screen updating events. At the end of any action, screen updating events are turned back on
- If there is an unexpected error, screen updating remains off
- Commenting
- When you add a comment to the FRT on the IS, BS or Forecast tab, it triggers code that copies that content from the edited tab back to the accounts tab. This saves your comment.
- If the program has an error and then you add comments, the comments may not be saved to the accounts tab.
- When you update the FRT, the program uses the accounts tab to populate the comments. If those comments aren't on the accounts tab, they will be lost in the interface.
Recommendations:
- If the program has a minor crash, please do the following:
- Enter a support ticket for the crash. Describe what happened and when
- Close and reopen the workbook
