The solution below resolved two different issues:

  1. You would like to add a forecast for an account that doesn't appear on the Forecast or IS tabs. The account may appear on the accounts tab, but it wasn't included in the IS, BS, or budget tabs.
  2. You are attempting to forecast an account that appears on the forecast tab, but an error told you to come to this site and look up this article. In this case, the account doesn't appear on the IS, BS or budget tabs, but it does appear on the PrevForecast tabs. This can occur when you forecasted on this account in the previous month, but the new actual data for this month no longer includes that account.


The resolution is the same in both cases:

  1. Copy the exact number and name from the accounts tab. Example:  "6020 · Foundation grants"
  2. Go to the appropriate part of the iBudget tab, insert a row and add the account string in colD that was copied in step 1. 
  3. For the month of July, add .01 as the budget amount
  4. Rerun the update
  5. Now, the forecast will permanently include this account.
  6. You can add or update the forecast.
