The Google Drive experience is intended to make Google Drive feel like hardware, but it is really just software emulating hardware. If you see the G:\?, it just means that the software isn't functioning appropriately. Please do the following:
- Ensure that Google Drive is running. Sometimes it just crashed
- Go to the bottom left corner of Windows and click on the textbox or Windows icon
- Type "Google Drive"
- Click on the colorful Google Drive icon
- If a folder opens up, your issue is resolved
- If that didn't work, try logging back into Google Drive
- Go the the bottom right corner of Windows
- Click on the ^ symbol in the taskbard
- Identify the grayed-out Google Drive symbol. It's likely to be the only black and white icon
- Click or double click and then log back in to your account within Google Drive
